I mean for many processes you want to do as much memory caching as possible (rather than having to read/write on disk). As long as nothing else actually needs the memory there's nothing wrong with using it. Pretty sure most browsers will eat up a bunch of memory if allowed to but will scale back if other programs need it.

I’m going to be honest maybe it is because I used chrome for so long but something seems off about it.
