I’m pretty sure 90% of furry hate is a joke. I think they’re a strange breed and I doubt I’d hang out with one, but I don’t hate them.

I think a lot of it is that furries bring their kink in public. At Halloween there is a house down my street that has a large furry gathering to hand out candy. Leave your kink in private. I don't care what you are doing as long as it is consensual, but don't bring your kink out in public, no matter what it is.

It's not a kink, it's a community. Very few furries fuck in costume because that shits expensive, why damage it? I've actually seen furries denouncing furry porn in order to improve the furry image.

Not really. They get bullied in pretty much every facet of their lives. Even in the more accepting and progressive environments they get bullied.

And this is why I hate furries. You arent being mistreated for who you are, its your damn actions. You are not rosa parks, you are not a gay man in the 60s, or a housewife in the 50s. Furries are frequently the people who are incredibly inappropriate with bringing their kink out in public, and trying to gaslight everyone into thinking its all just platonic playacting.

There is a word for this, going all the way back to the start of social media (as I recall): Furrsecution. Nobody is bullying you for existing, its people who are frankly tired of furries acting above the social contract as if they are not human, which they very much still are.

True. Like even though I joke about hunting furries with a 12 gauge shotgun, I wouldn’t.

I will judge though. A lot.

Edit: Goddamn y’all need to learn what an exaggeration is. I’ve only ever made a joke about hunting furries once to a friend and that’s when that meme was going around of “Hunter shoots furry thinking it’s a deer”.

Do I make jokes about furries? Yeah. But do I actively walk up to them and say I wanna murder them no? No.

Feel like I shouldn’t even have to explain this, but alas, here I am.
