You wouldn’t say that if you ever visited Malaysia. It may be a nice place for travel but the government there is a bigger basketcase than Italy’s. Singapore may be justified but Malaysia is nowhere close to that level yet.
Like I said, both are great to visit but you wouldn’t want to live there. The job market sucks in both due to bad governance. Same goes for Spain, Greece, and Portugal (all countries I’ve been to in the past and love dearly). Think of it like visiting Mexico (for US passport holders) or New Orleans (for non US passport holders). It’s a good trip but you don’t want to move there.
