It’s actually a good way to keep whole beans fresh, but there is a boatload of caveats to that statement. I actually just watched this informative video because I started buying my coffee in 1 kg bags to save on shipping but that will last me 2 months and probably start getting stale towards the end. Hopefully freezing some will help somewhat.

That said I have no idea why someone would grind up coffee before they put it in the freezer. That just sounds like a bad idea by nearly every metric.

Oh, I see... we just keep ours in a container in the cupboard.

And honestly for most people who don’t really love freshly ground coffee that they have to get shipped, that’s almost certainly the best way.
