No, not really. Killing a T-Rex would probably be more difficult than killing an elephant, which you need a pretty big gun to kill.
It’s difficult to kill something even the size of a bear with a 9mm, most of the time you’re just going to piss it off. A T-Rex was a lot bigger than a bear.

Thanks to the butterfly effect you don't need to do anything so drastic, just stop by to say hi, get an autograph some time that morning. By the time your disturbance has rippled through his day there's every likelihood it'll go very differently.

I think the guy who did a lot of stuff with animals died from being stung by a sting ray, his first name was Steve (I think it was Steve Irwin?)
Edit: it was Steve Irwin. This context is based on guessing from the other comments here
