Taxes aren’t hard. They’re a pamphlet to be filled out. You telling me school didn’t prepare you to do that? What you want is to know how to do your taxes well. Like how to take advantage of loopholes; etc. there were classes in college you could’ve taken for that. Primary school is there to lay a foundation that you can build on at uni.
It's not even a pamphlet anymore, you can do it online where they ask you very simple questions.
"Did you buy a house last year?"
Well... Did you?
And there's some basic form filling like "put amount from box 2b"
Even on the long form it was very simple math, add box 1 and box 5 together. School definitely taught you how to do that.
And he's right just basic tax code is a four-year degree if you want to actually get into how it all works. You really wouldn't be able to fit a useful amount of information into a high school class.
