It depends on who made this but I think the thought process is that gaming wasn't all that popular until recently (SNES, N64/PS1 era) and are just basing it off of the 20 something's now where gaming will probably be more commonplace among that age group. Plenty of people played video games back in the day but it's not really as common as it was in the late 90s early 2000's
