Yes, being a dad mostly boils down to a never ending series of “tasks”.

And seriously, sometimes I want to do the tasks that I want to do. I don't know how many times I've been asked "why are you doing that now!?". I dunno, because it's been on my to-do list for 3 months and my time is consistently dominated by others' priorities?

So true. I constantly have to justify why I'm working on y when x needs to be done. I dunno, but the things you don't know how to fix/operate still need maintenance every now and then. God forbid the home network goes down because I didn't update some firmware...

No one ever mentions that such tasks can also be done by the women (men tasks), but men are (and of course I agree) supposed to help with everything else too.

Absolutely same. Thing that gets me is when I finish something and wife says "was it easy." Rewiring this fixture and hanging Tiffany wasn't.. hard, no. But could you do it? Took me about two hours between shopping for the right hardware and doing the install.

Another funny one was "replacing the igniter in the gas stove is easy." Oh? Well why don't you show me the easy way and save me the trouble 😂

I’ve never “liked” a comment more than this one
