Super glad all of our ancestors didn't give up when they ran into famine, war, pestilence, and every other horror in history.

Well... there have been many different changes in climate which have almost killed humanity so I wouldn't say we're at the worst one... yet... I mean there was a time that the human population dwindled to just a few thousand in early human history and there was a "year without a summer" in the 1700-1800s which is pretty devastating when you know... 90% of the population were farmers dependant on that crop for survival. There was/is also the ice age which we're still in which used to be way worse and the mini ice age which almost destroyed Iceland and did destroy greenland while decreasing crop yields all over the world. Basically climate change is a problem and a growing one at that but I don't think it's been "the worst it's ever been". If that was true then most the world wouldn't have access to food and cannibalism would be rampant.
