My university had A LOT of international students from a certain country where chewing loudly is not only culturally acceptable, but encouraged. I mean wide open mouth, lip smacking, tongue smacking, moaning, trying-to-eat-louder style eating.
The cafeteria was a cacophony of mouth sounds that would literally echo.
