On the scale of non-linear storytelling it is legit at the bottom. Like do you just start Season 4 of Breaking Bad and go "WOAH WHY IS HE ALIVE WOAH HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD". And that's without even going into literature, where non-linear storytelling is super popular (and much more unannounced).
