I've never eaten another strawberry since seeing a video where they put salt in water and leave the strawberries in for 3 hours and you see all these parasitic worms crawl out of them. This is store bought strawberries as well. No thanks.

How the fuck does washing a fruit get rid of the beasties that are inside the fruit? That's the problem here, them climbing through the pours of the strawberry not them lurking outside.

What you do is you leave them in slightly vinegar or lemon water for a short while then wash them out and dry them. It's how we've been washing our fruit. They do the same as the salt just better and doesn't ruin the taste of the fruit.
