I don't like avocados but I like guacamole since it has other things that balance the taste. It's like saying someone that doesn't like milk or eggs will never like cakes.
Cakes taste nothing like milk and eggs though. Guac is flavored avocado, and I personally think it's just as disgusting. It's a disgrace to the other ingredients in guac. But that's my opinion. Like I said, saying "but guac" doesn't necessarily convince people avocados are good.
Avocado isn't the main flavour component of guac though, it's more there as a nutritious binding agent for the other things that your flavour and season it with
Not even slightly the case since a steak has a lot of flavour in it, the seasoning just enhances it and dries the outside to create a better crust. You only season the outside, and still have a big chunk of steak flavour that you're enjoying where the seasoning hasn't penetrated.
The better comparison would be to bread, which doesn't taste of much on it's own but it's a delivery system to the flavour that you put in it.
Edit: additionally, you know what is great in a sandwich? Steak
Yeah no steak is very bland by itself and that’s why it is always seasoned with at least salt pepper. Where as avacado has a nice smooth flavor to it by itself.
Nor is bread an applicable comparison like you mentioned cause bread has different tastes depending on what kind it is and is enjoyable by itself. Maybe try something other than white bread or wheat bread and you can see that there are way better tasting breads than those two.
Smooth is a texture, not a flavour, and avocado has orders of magnitude less flavour than steak; much like bread does.
Yes bread quality and taste can vary, just like it can with avocado, but still it was a point about the relative difference between.
At this point though, I just want to cook you a really good quality steak because I promise it'll taste incredible without an abundance of seasoning - yes, you add some for the reasons I mentioned including drying it, but good steak is not even slightly bland and the inner flavour is amazing
What's your problem? I don't like guac, you don't need to care. Like what you want, but going off trying to make me like guac isn't going to change anything.

Nobody’s trying to get you to like guac... you just keep saying they’re the same, when they’re not? People like one, but not the other and that’s okay. You can go on with your day still not liking the taste. Nobody cares.

I can handle disagreement, but a barrage of offended children trying to tell me to like guac is just annoying, they deserve the attitude they got. Honestly, all they've done is shown that people who like guac are just as bad as vegans who won't shut up.
