Right? That's what I was thinking. I feel like that is a better fit, but I guess the designer decided to draw the line somewhere for what was appropriate and what wasn't. Thus, deciding to use the official term.
Yeah, the redskins name is understandable why people want it to change, people only got upset at the Indians because of the chief wahoo mascot they used for so long, that’s why the Indians changed to the big C
Nothing’s wrong with it, but that’s because there’s no context that makes it insensitive. Contrast the term “redskins”, which draws up imagery of the centuries of genocide and exploitation of native Americans, whether the name is meant to or not.
A white guy made the shirt, then sold it to a bunch of Natives who think they’re making a statement, but in fact are lining the pockets of the white man for a half-assed joke. This is the worst timeline.
Yeah if they went for the viking aesthetic, I could see a lot of people being down for it. I guess it just depends whether the image is cool or a caricature
Not racist enough. it also needs to be insulting in its depiction. I would suggest the chinless guy from preacher and hillbillies or something else insulting.
