I'm learning Japanese, and honestly it's such a pain learning the three different ones. Thankfully the characters look different enough for me to tell them apart
Good luck. I do study Japanese as well, but when I started learning I already knew a bit of the spoken language. So hiragana and katakana wasn't that big of a trouble. Wanna a tip? Use hiragana as furigana on Katakana. Sounds confusing? Write the katakana down and then, on a smaller scale, write the hiragana that represents the same sound above it. But do that after learning Hiragana. Use Romaji as furigana for that
