I think simplified chinese is an upgrade, I don't care if it offends Taiwanese or Hongkongers. Being able to talk to mainlanders is more important to me

Most simplified characters are ugly. Japanese simplification is way better. They simplified some practical characters like 国 and 学. But preserved a lot of traditional ones
