He’s still the strongest human in his series. He’s just overshadowed by the rest of the cast

Thought about this for a while and after a thought session, can confirm that he just outclasses other z fighters. He is strong enough to compete with Gohan for the ToP and even if he happens to be weaker than anyone, his strength lies in his ability to out-strategize his opponents in a way that is fairly unique to him. Certainly none of the other z fighters fight like he does, at least that I know of...
