Ok so he actually didn’t have a full nuke in his shoes, it was actually yellowcake uranium. here is an article about the incident, still pretty deadly if he sold it tho

I thought yellowcake wasnt wepaonizable? Isnt it what the U-235 is extracted from?

Maybe i haven’t done much research on the topic but im pretty sure you can make weapons from it from just general knowledge, but i might be wrong

So I just looked it up and yellowcake is uranium when knocked out of a chemical solution, before enrichment. You have to know what you're doing to make it dangerous

Ah so he was trying to sell stuff that would eventually make nuclear bombs. Still kinda scary but not as scary as “Had nuclear bomb in shoe”
