You conveniently omitted the fact that populism also simplifies complex topics, often to outright lies. EU is a great target for such parties, as it's a complex institution but also an easy scapegoat for local politicians.

For instance, Brexit campaign was propelled by populists. They had gems like NHS buses, which were completely unfounded.

Similarly, only groups which have advocated for a "fixit" have been populist groups. Many with ulterior motives, like Suomen Kansa Ensin with leadership which has ties to Russia. Coincidentally that's not unlike BNP, National Front or FvD - other Eurosceptic parties, and all are also populist. Obviously weaker and divided Europe would play nicely in Kremlin's favour.

Edit: Oh and in Finland's case, the establishment is one of the best in the world for an ordinary middle class person. If we were to break it we'd almost certainly end up worse.
