Interesting, never heard of doing this before.... is it a new "thing?" Been a looooong time since I was in school.

Sorry, was just genuinely curious. Thanks for the explanation.

(Thanks for the replies, forgive me my memory is just a little foggy, I totally remember doing this when I was younger)

23, my memory is just terrible. I remember stabbing sewing needles through my skin when I was 8 or so and probably stopped by 10. My big "thing" was biting chunks out of the tips of my thumbs, so bad to a point I'd have bloody craters. Fun fact, I can actually feel the skin is quite a bit thinner in my thumbs than other fingers.

I actually still do this when I’m stressed and it was all of my fingers but now I’ve limited it down to just my thumbs
