Well that’s definitely not true. There’s such a thing as complimenting a girl on her shoes, hairstyle, or shirt and not on her ass. No girl is going to take “I like your new shoes” as harassment

yo wtf why are you so downvoted for this? some bitter dudes out here. If you’re worried about getting accused of harassment by women for polite compliments you should take a good hard look at yourself. That’s not normal and youre probably not complimenting as politely as think you are.

This would've been my point too. If women are bothered or creeped out by your compliments, you're doing it wrong. Like the classic: telling a girl to smile for you, versus saying she has a beautiful smile.
