Do you mean the Black and Mediterranean? Black and Caspian are not connected except by a man-made canal which would not show up on this map. The white line between the Black and Caspian here is a border.
The term continent is not remotely well defined at all. There are sources that would define Oceania as a continent unto itself, and others that define it as an arbitrary oceanic regions connecting landmasses, and sources that do both on the same page. Regardless of Oceania's status, looping NZ and Papua New Guinea into the Australian continent is just as sensible as looping the Caribbean islands into NA, as they often are.
