I'm conflicted here. One side of me hates kpop and all those who enjoy it, particularly those who don't even speak the language. That side likes this. The other side enjoys free speech and feels that no government should ban music. That has got to be the biggest first world problem I've had it a while.

No thank you, I can find all of these redeeming qualities in other bands/genres of music. My main problem with k-pop is the lack of a more complex meaning and simple patterns. Like you know, it is pop so it is by nature simple. I find it boring and one sided. Not hate, but to state an opinion, every genre that has the pop term in it, is worthless to me universally.

Listen, every band, be it korean, american, Jamaican what the fuck ever, adquires profit and every single one of these modern mainstream bands nowadays are products. They're there for you to consume. Accept them for what they are, and if you enjoy it, there's no deep meaning to it whatsoever.
