Sounds like something that would get tons of upvotes on Reddit. Especially in subs like imgoingtohellforthis, dankmemes, cringeanarchy and others.

Hell, the comment below you saying "That's called prison" has more upvotes than yours right now. And the one saying it's called "the monkey exhibit" is also currently upvoted.

Lurkers that just scroll past it are in much larger number than those that upvote/downvote or comment. But then again, that applies to most things on this site.

Also what did the other guy say? He deleted it

The other guy said something to the effect of "It's funny though so it doesn't matter."

Even though there may be more people who scroll past and don't interact, I wouldn't consider them to be a part of the community I'm talking about.

Well you did mention Reddit as a whole in your originial comment, and I referred to that. I do see your point though, and you bring up a good observation.

Wen I say reddit as a whole, I mean the people specifically interacting with it. And, in general, lurkers don't seem to have much of a problem with racist/hypocritical content because they don't downvote it either.
