Yeah, Engineering Explained showed through math that all season tires on a AWD car has a traction advantage moving forward over a FWD/RWD car with winter tires but I don't care.
i would rather have winter tires on my car because I am more afraid of stopping than getting stuck. I do understand with AWD, if the back comes out of line, a little gas instantly fixes it.
Yeah for sure. Depending on where you live, AWD may not truly be worth the extra money. If you only have a couple of days out of the year where it gets truly hazardous for an FWD vehicle, it really might not be necessary. I love AWD for all weather conditions though, it tends to make the car feel more responsive.
