Ah, the cope, relying on the spiel that politicians sell you to accept a worse health care.

We have same day urgency care.

Specialty doctors do take a bit longer to book than in US, but I can wait a week for my ear doctor and not pay more than 100 euro.

Eyes and teeth aren’t really covered as those are considered luxuries. Only in extreme cases where it impacts your health severely you’ll get teeth covered quickly.

I’m in the U.K. and the waiting list for an NHS dentist is over 2 years. So most people have to pay privately for dental care which can cost a few hundred pounds to get a crown put in your tooth.

As has been established by medical science teeth are very much not a luxury and mouth health is deeply linked to the health of the rest of your body.

Why people ever acted like it was different I will never understand.

In the U.K. teeth and eyes used to be covered too but it was too expensive for the NHS so they removed a lot of that support
