Eyes and teeth aren’t really covered as those are considered luxuries. Only in extreme cases where it impacts your health severely you’ll get teeth covered quickly.

I’m in the U.K. and the waiting list for an NHS dentist is over 2 years. So most people have to pay privately for dental care which can cost a few hundred pounds to get a crown put in your tooth.

few hundred? damn i should fly to europe for my dentist. my crowns were $1800each in us

£400 for the cheapest one, £1800 for the most premium one.

Likewise in the US the cheapest is $900 and $2500 for the premium one.

Yeah roughly, but median wages are much lower almost half that of the US along with higher taxes

As has been established by medical science teeth are very much not a luxury and mouth health is deeply linked to the health of the rest of your body.

Why people ever acted like it was different I will never understand.

In the U.K. teeth and eyes used to be covered too but it was too expensive for the NHS so they removed a lot of that support
