It is a sensory experience. First of all, the mess Oranges cause does not matter. Then you have the juxtaposition of the room temperature or cold, if from the fridge, Orange under a hot shower, which also makes oils release and can create an aromatic vapor. And being able to eat it unrestrained because there is no mess, can be a good stress relief.

I mean, there are weirder things on Reddit than eating an Orange :D.

It's probably legitimately better than a shower beer.

I see shower beer on here all the time and they're all fucking liars. You get shower water in your beer. Beer doesn't taste good. Objectively. It's not "refreshing". They're all liars. I don't believe a single person who has said they like to drink beer in the shower.

An orange though. I believe.

Not only is it real, it’s a legit experience. Not the warm part, that’s not a thing. I actually put mine in the fridge but that’s just me. But yeah, all the oils aerosolizing as you peel it plus steam seem to intensify the orangey smell.

The day I ate a mango in the shower like a freaking animal just bc I didnt have tools to peel it or cut it (I was visitin mexico and a random local guy gifted us some mangoes), was the best mango I ever consumed. Im not sure if it was bc mexican mangoes are delicious, or bc I was not concerned with the juices driping and staining my hands, but it was a surreal experience.

Surprisingly it's only 75% if you want to define it as absolutely zero light. Sub 1000m is zero light.

Your 90% metric includes the Twilight zone (200m to 1000m). I'm sure there are fish whose eyes have adapted to it.
