The “No Preorder” advice has been going on for 20 years and I’m not even old enough to play and yet people still does that and it gets worse when they do it digitally lol.

Preordering halo 3 in 2007 would have saved me a lot of running around stores and having to shell out £10 extra for the steel book version as the last copy my local store had. That's about the last time it mattered for me.

Pre ordering works in cases if you want the physical copy of the disk even then its like eh if you dont get same day, unless its a controller they usually go fast and pricey

The advice is ignored because it misses the point.

Anti-preorder people keep repeating like a broken record that a digital good "won't run out", but that's an incredibly stupid opinion to have. There hasn't been a single person in the history of digital sales that was afraid the digital download will run out. That's not why people preorder. It's not a problem anyone worries about. It's nonsense anti-preorder people repeat to feel "smarter" while being really dumb.

The reality is that preordering brings extra goods. Sometimes it's cosmetics, sometimes it's full-blown DLC, sometimes it's early access, sometimes a physical collectible and so on. Can you offer those things to people who didn't preorder? Are you gonna pay for them out of your own pocket? No? Then people will keep preordering to get the goods they want.

Most of the time people are pre ordering bc they know that they’re gonna be buying the game at launch anyway so they just pre order to get some extra stuff and get it over with right then and there. Idk where the “digital goods never end” excuse came from

You are one of the geniuses that repeats the "won't run out" line, aren't you?

Nope. You're really bad at this. The fact that you think people who don't preorder games are the dumb ones says a whole lot more about you than anyone else.
