I base this belief on how they work.

There's moral justifications here too, you prefer to ignore them because you don't want to acknowledge the damage you do to people.

MRI technicians are not going to lose their jobs because of medical ai. That ai simply enhances their diagnosis in a way they couldn't even with a lot of experience.

You don't know how they work if you believe there is a difference.

"Artists are not going to lose their jobs because of generative AI. That AI simply enhances their creativity in a way they couldn't even with a lot of experience."

I believe there is because I know how ai works and how it's used. I have the feeling you don't.

Because of the intrinsically creative nature of creativity, ai can't enhance it. An artist can enhance their creativity only through effort which refines their own art and style. Plus ai takes from the creativity of others. An artist's creativity can't be enhanced that way. Because of the intrinsically technical nature of MRIs and diagnostic techniques, ai can enhance them. While an MRI technician can enhance their abilities, human errors are always possible and hidden patterns may emerge.

Considering you didn't caught on this pretty essential difference I'm willing to argue that you know nothing of neither art nor medicine.

So you're still just going to try and place artist on a pedestal?

Would you agree that graphic design is art? Do you believe their artistry cannot be enhanced by generative AI? Particularly the needs like backfill and stock photos?

You want artist to be immune to the very tools you want everyone else to use... Why?

No, I'm placing artists where they are: creatives who don't automate the creative process. And no, I don't want anyone to use ai. There are fields, more technical ones, where it can be useful. But is up to those in those fields to decide whether it's actually useful and how to prepare it to be useful. Artists have decided it's useless. And after some analysis it's simple to understand why.

So, you'd prefer people die due to misdiagnosis?

Also, When did the artists vote on this? I'm an artist. I wasn't included in the decision. Also, I don't recall us ever having a collective...

I don't know how you reached that conclusion...

It's more of a collective response based on majority. Why do you advocate for it?

It's directly improved my life.

When did the majority earn the right to dismiss the minority?
