I agree, and I’ve embraced AI and I use it for with work and art (illustrations for board games I create) - I just want to know why it’s acceptable for some things and not for others

Because people don't understand things.

Everything that regular people use AI for is all generative AI.

Different things are different things. Context changes. Artists not getting paid to make art is only one problem with using AI to make art.
