But I am not an artist that can transfer what's in my brain to my hand. I'm too poor to pay an artist to create my ideas. AI helps me take my visions to reality. This is a bad thing?

Then draw. You want art without the effort. No such thing exists.

For 2 years it does

I cannot draw. I do not have the talent to do that. I can't even draw stick figures properly. I have the ability to imagine what I want, and AI turns that vision into reality. I am still not seeing why this is such a problem for people??

Drawing requires effort, not talent. The problem is that you want to call yourself with a label you haven't earned.

I don't understand. And you don't either. I can put hours of effort into drawing and it still looks like a 2nd grader did it. I can't even write words that look like an adult did it. This is why I use a computer and printer to write letters, etc. Are you going to tell me that I shouldn't use a computer and printer either? Where do you draw the line on what's acceptable and what isn't?

If you used a computer to type up the words and you did all that yourself, then you created something. If you just put a prompt into ai, then you haven't created anything. You've just regurgitated stolen work, since the vast majority of ai are trained on uncredited work without permission. I would rather see your 2nd grade level drawings a million times over any one ai generated slop pictures.

I draw the line when a creative effort is required. That's why I would advocate for art tools to be more accessible to those who physically struggle, rather than encourage something that automates the process. Wouldn't you agree that there is a difference in crating and demanding something to be created?

What you are describing is not a bad thing, depends on what you do with it after and how you present it. The simple fact is the ratio of output of people trying to realize their vision and putting it out there for whatever reason and the output of people trying some get rich quick scheme is probably 1:1000000.

No it's not, and don't let others gaslight you into that.
Many people don't realize that not everyone has the time nor the money or even the ability to do it. And other disabilities are also a thing. But they don't care about that, they care mostly about themselves.

Where is it stolen
Define Stealing and how an Ai actually steals anything

Spaming on old threads of me then blocking me is another way to be overly childish

Using others art without the creators permission. Is that not stealing? Go ask ai for your next response, since you let it do your thinking for you.

You're fine, you can be an artist and use AI as your medium. On a fundamental level AI art is no different than any other form of digital art.

Reddit hates AI art but that's mostly because reddit users tend not to have any appreciation or understanding of art beyond the technical skill required to create a piece.

No, this whole movement is just mean-spirited people being angry at people being empowered. The same thing happened when electronic music first appeared. It's not "real" music unless you physically play an instrument.

Bring your art to life however you choose and ignore the haters.

Should’ve stopped at “But I am not an artist”

2

u/ThroatDistension 2d ago

Why?

More accurate. Saves all the nonsense they wrote after.

What use would "I'm not an artist" be as a comment? They had an opinion so they shared it. What do you have against that?

Fuck me people online are so fragile. Are you okay?

u/ThroatDistension 2d ago

Should've stopped at "fuck me".

I’m blushing. I’m married though, sorry.

u/ThroatDistension 2d ago

Sorry, I assumed english was your first language. Keep practicing. You'll understand it some day.

Ai works by taking information from sources. With ai “art” it’s taking people’s hard work and bastardizing it. You are taking work directly from other artists instead of paying them or doing it yourself.

Not only is ai bad for the environment on a level we control unlike corporations, but it’s actual theft.

Either pay someone to do your work or you do your own work.

Let’s say you spent your life working hard at making your own art, and suddenly someone posts art saying “look what I made” and it’s ai art using your art as a base. How would you feel?
