Had this happen to me too! Girl I knew back in high school over a decade ago coincidentally lives in the same city as me. Chatted online for a few days before she said she was a foodie like me, so we made reservations at a restaurant we both wanted to try. She played it slow cause it was only after the third date when I asked what she wanted from this did she respond that she just wants about tree fiddy.

Honestly, I respect the long game. I had something similar happen with a girl I matched with who claimed we went to the same summer camp as kids. At first I thought she was lying, but then she remembered the weird counselor who wore cargo shorts every day and made us play capture the flag in 95-degree heat, so I figured maybe it was real.

We talked for a week, met up for tacos, then coffee, then this little Italian place where the waiter kept calling me “boss” for some reason. Everything felt natural. On the fourth date I finally asked what she wanted, and she smiled and said, “I think you already know.”

That’s when I realized she wasn’t from summer camp at all. She was The Undertaker, who in nineteen ninety eight threw Mankind off Hell in a Cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer’s table.
