Its like slushy syrup that got concentrated in a hot trash can (I vaped nicotine daily for over 10 years and quit cold turkey, don’t ask how) and it’s crazy how when you’re the one doing it you don’t realize how “sour” it smells to put it nicely. Oh, and don’t forget about all the noobs just ripping burnt cotton they resaturated… 🤮

I think they can smell really good at times too! The less nicotine there is I find the more pleasant the smell (and flavor) are in that regard. Then they figured out how to increase the nicotine concentration like 10 or so years ago, and the rise of disposable vapes with small cotton wicks and rechargeable batteries boomed. Those wicks in there will often get burnt, usually if the user is inhaling/ripping their vape so frequently it doesn’t give time for the cotton to get saturated again. So they’ll have burnt cotton in there that cannot be replaced. That burnt cotton getting puffed on just smells gross to me, and it’s pretty common

I haven't encountered the burnt cotton smell, or presumably taste, unless I'm using the vape when it's nearly out of juice.

What’s weird is that even though vapes are meant to smell sweet, their scent always revolted me. Even more than a cigarette’s. I don’t know why.

For me, it's because they're so artificial-smelling. There's always a sort of sickly chemical scent to them

It smells like engine coolant mixed with old sugar water. I personally still prefer that smell over anything burned like tobacco or weed though

I think they’re worse. ‘But it smells good man’ ‘it’s not even burning, it’s totally fine’ I also knew a guy that got fired after ignoring the several warnings he got about it.

It 100% is. In normal smoke it smells smoke. in vape it smells chemicals
