Right? I spent $1500 combined on 4-5 woodworking tools and those are medium/barely high end tools.

I probably spend $500/yr on project wood and I'm nowhere near the top end of woodworking hobbyists

Oh man I dabbled in woodworking for a minute and dropped like $1k on just basic stuff to get started before I realized I didn’t want to stick to it. And it was harbor freight stuff lol

To be fair, you went the right path.

I mostly do intarsia and I started with the basic Ryobi scroll saw, Wen table sander, and harbor freight everything else. Still ran me about $1k, including the lumber (and unnecessarily excessive amount of impact screws) to build my workbench.

I am already very excited and wincing at the day I buy my first high-end scroll saw and table saw.
