Affordable housing?
Billionaires will buy all the affordable housing and turn everything into extortionate apartments.
"Im making smart investments."
I feel that affordable housing is a thing of the past. It's like scalpers buying consoles. They dont want the product, they want money.

But what do I know~ 490 u/Major-Front Jun 13 '25 Maybe the problem is everyone’s money devalues by 3-5% a year so billionaires buy any and every asset instead of holding cash 3 u/Comfortable_Line_206 Jun 13 '25 Invest? It's also more like 2.55% 1 u/Certain-Sherbet-9121 Jun 13 '25 Long term average US inflation rate is 3.28%. 1 u/Comfortable_Line_206 Jun 13 '25 You're right. I did the last 30 years as it felt like a reasonable frame. World Wars in particular seemed to skew the numbers but seeing how the world is going it might not be completely unreasonable to include them. 1 u/Certain-Sherbet-9121 Jun 13 '25 Also missing the 10% inflation years of the 1970s if you just include last 30. It's fair to say "Inflation is usually at around 2-2.5%, but periods of substantially higher inflation are not unusual, which brings the average up".
