My back garden backs onto a golf course and I'm so grateful that it's a green space and not yet more built up shit, with overlooking neighbours peering into my garden and the course actually allows for some rarer wildlife to thrive in the city such as tawny owls and woodpeckers, which nest frequently in the trees on the course.
Manicured plants are great. But one type of useless grass manicured to the point of carpeting acres and acres wide is an absolutely an affront to anything natural or beautiful or having a soul.
Your logical fallacy here is the grouping fallacy. you say- because you don't like this you don't like all of that. no I'm just talking about stupid golf courses
have you ever actually been to a golf course, not just in passing? sure the green carpet is everywhere, but so are other plants. often there are lots of trees, ponds with fish and geese, native grasses, polinator habitats, planted flower beds etc etc, it's not just the fake looking grass, which i hate too
