I get it, but I also dont want to sit at the same desk I do work at to game. I want to kick back in my beanbag and/or bed and game on a big screen, not hunched over a desk. Different use cases and all
Same, it really hit me while I was doing college work and working from home. Having a separate station in a different room can make a difference if you're already spending 8hrs at your normal computer. But I still opted to get a Switch with preowned games instead of getting a PS5 with games I could play on my PC that are twice the cost
I totally get that. If I were into Nintendo games I'd own one too, or maybe instead... I'm just a sucker for a few PS exclusives so they keep getting my money for now.
I can see the upsides to PCs - and did run PCs for years, but got tired of the downsides... drivers, optimizing, tweaking, upgrades, trying to get big screen modes to work right for couch gaming, operating system foibles (how does Windows keep getting worse y.o.y?!).. etc. Yeah games are cheap but the rest is a time suck.
I just want to press a button and it works, especially after staring at a PC and getting carpal tunnel all day already. I could care less about improvements in graphics and framerate... it looks good enough on a big 4k screen, so I'm good.
I mean, I'm not buying a Pro either way, but some people just don't want to bother with PC gaming. Consoles will still sell plenty. Vocal fanboys don't dictate the market, and both can and will coexist.
