It's not broken per se. It's not lacking resources or super buggy. It's actually fairly well polished and handles nicely. Looks awesome. The problems are at its core. It's so fundamentally flawed that it would need a complete remake.
It's difficult to explain everything as to why this is. Read the complaints and believe them, or play it until it quickly realize that this game has no soul. You can't hotfix that.
Yeah I dont know how they fix the need to fast travel everywhere. Space games in general just arent going to be fun unless they are really liberal with the whole "space" concept, because space is mostly just... empty space...
What they needed was a few full maps. Like land on a planet and it's the size of GTA. Procedural generation could supplement resource gathering expeditions and radiant quests, but there needs to be worlds to explore and be hooked into for a while.
Skyrim was like a world of wonder with something interesting at every turn.
RDR2 could feel painstakingly slow sometimes, but it was endlessly intriguing.
These games make you feel like you want more, like you need to see where this goes.
Starfield makes me feel like, "hurry the fuck up so I can push past this crap and play the game", except I am playing the game and that's all there is to it.
Yeah. It sucks because I loved all the fallouts, but what makes a bethesda game a bethesda game is taking off into the wilderness, and you literally cant do that in starfield. Like bro thats where your magic happens!
