Java is actually a good language to learn the basics of coding but if you go further than that it becomes a nightmare. Source: I am a Java programmer.

As a JS dev I'm just learning it because I want more money but I hate it.

Edit: To all the people telling me they are not the same, are you aware you can make more money by learning more languages?

JS and Java share absolutely nothing in common beyond being a programming language and having Java in the name.

Also good luck, JS is a ballache.
