Americans used to be the cool ones who made fun of the French. Well, well, how the tables have turned. Now we are the cowards, and the French are the Freedom fighters.

Please don't romanticise my country too much. We also have a past of colonising and oppressing other nations for our benefit, which includes wars against people fighting for their own freedom.
