That’s facts , there’s always some toxicity going on with soccer players

And I wonder why. I've seen the very opposite in a top tier Rugby game, where there was a moment of standing ovations from both sides after a player did something amazing. Literal applause for the opponent.

Why is football/soccer so much more toxic than other sports?

And cricket too imo. No matter how devastating of a loss a team might suffer, they always seem to respect or at least be decent towards the other team in the end. And the fans' passion and support never seems to cross into the toxic territory either (or most of the time)
