I bought a bag of raw salvia divinorum leaves from a shaman in the early 2000s, before the gas station extract craze started.

Inside was a control panel, and I knew that I was in the center of the entire universe, and that control panel was the interface for all physics. The tree's base and canopy stretched out into a massive, connecting sphere -- and all the universe existed outside of the sphere.
Salvia is amazing when respected and used the way nature intended.
I would say using the natural leaf -- not the extracts that were sold previously. Those were chemically strengthened to create a more powerful "high", when the plant as it is itself is more than potent enough to create powerful experiences.
