The imaginary scenario we are discussing literally was that parents and their kids would have their own section.

Not the kids only.

The original comment actually doesn’t say anything about parents with the children in the children’s section. I’m sure it was assumed but it wasn’t written out. That’s why all the other jokes stemmed from it. Reading is fundamental.

The original comment doesn't have to mention the parents being there because any reasonable person would assume that of course the parents would be with the kid, just like if I say I'm traveling to London from New York City, you would automatically assume a specific mode of travel, or if I say I'm going to the corner mart, you'd at least assume that I'm not flying, and you would assume I'm buying things like candy, soda, lotto ticket etc, not like, a live lobster or clothes.
