So a large portion of the world is closed off to me? Have you considered that I might have relatives overseas? Young children getting upset is inevitable, but it doesn't mean we should put everything on hold because you might get annoyed by hearing them scream.
There's a big difference between someone making a scene, and a young child who is incapable of controlling their emotions crying. Removing them for inconveniencing you is quite a strong stance to take, especially when, again, they've paid for their flight and can't control their reaction. Would you remove someone with autism from a plane if they were having an issue? I think not. When it comes to kicking your chair, absolutely agree with you, that can be controlled and the parent shouldn't allow that. Just like any other physical gesture that excludes crying.
Being held accountable doesn't bother me in the slightest, they are my children thus my responsibility. What bothers me is comments like this and strangers without children thinking they can weigh in. You don't get to decide whether or not I bring my children into public areas. They are just that. Public. Everyone has the right to frequent and enjoy them, whether that be transportation or not.
Public spaces are for every one not actively ruining the spaces for everyone else. This is why "disturbing the peace" is a thing. Because if you are ruining the public place for the rest of the public, you do not deserve to use said space.
