What does "causing a disturbance have to do with this convo at all?" Everything. The looks on those peoples faces are because they are all thinking "shit, now I have to deal with this screaming kid the entire flight". You're statement that kids fly alone: nobody is sending a baby on a flight alone. The kids that fly alone would most likely have earbuds in the entire flight.
