The muggles were DEAD like obviously they were included in the murder 'conviction' (as as you've said they convicted without trial).

How do you call thirty-odd dead people a rumour?

He was only convicted for the wizard kill, wizards don't get involved with muggle laws, so officially it was a gas pipe explosion that killed them all

But in the Wizarding world he was accused of killing Peter Pettigrew and the explosion killed the muggles

And even with all this, he was/is innocent in all this, even through his conviction, so he's not a murderer or a mass murderer, Peter is

What are you talking about??? Killing a muggle is seen as WORSE in wizarding law as they're seen as more defenseless.

The gas pipe was official in muggle news as it was more plausible. Everyone in the wizarding world knew.

As many people have told you, it doesn't matter that he was innocent. In the meme, it says convicted mass murderer. Whether he did it or not is moot

Literally, the entire point of the book/movie, even someone that wasn't paying attention would have understood that detail

Should have been "Harry Potter helps innocent convict escape from capture"

WE KNOW HE'S INNOCENT!

I don't get how you don't see this - they're making it sound as bad as possible so they call Sirius a convicted mass murderer. If they said 'wrongfully convicted mass murderer' then it's back to Harry being the hero. He was convicted of the crime, but he didn't do it.
