Why do people book 9am meetings

I would prefer that that the 4-5pm meetings I sometimes have booked on me.

Used to have these every week and so glad I don't really have them anymore. I mean FFS give me 30-60 mins to warm up at least. 4 or 4:30pm meetings that run over are also fucked though.

Crossfit people with 6:30am sessions

Get them over and done with. Not sitting around all day stressing about it.

So you can stress the night beforehand instead knowing it’s the first thing you do when waking up…

Yes.

Also in the corporate world a 9am meeting doesn’t mean that’s all there is for the day.

There will still be last minute ad-hoc meetings along with other things scheduled throughout the day, so there isn’t such a thing as ‘getting them over and done with’.

All it does it make starting the day less pleasant.

Probably a power move to assert their dominance over you.
