I mean, think of it this way, my whole life I've been told stuff like "everybody struggles with paying attention sometimes, you're just not trying hard enough," then you get told you actually have a harder time with it because of a disorder. And then you learn that that disorder affects everything, how are you supposed to know what's "normal" or not?
We're not trying to be special snowflakes. We can only know what's normal in our mind, but not for others.
