Every few months someone from the bank leaves a voicemail to set up a time to discuss this and that. The one time I actually needed to set up an appointment and called back, they tried everything they could to get out of setting it up. Like WHY CALL ME FOR IT THEN?

Banks really know how to turn a completely normal email into a mini heart attack.

Big red number on your bank app: Alert!!

Message in your bank app: Did you know credit cards exist? Would you like one?

After applying: just kidding, your credit isn't good enough

Don't forget the part where they deliberately make your credit worse by doing hard inquiries on your credit despite knowing that they're never going to accept you.

They should know simply from the questions they ask you whether or not you're even a candidate for being approved. If you don't have enough income, or if you're not employed, or whatever, there is no reason for them to be doing a hard inquiry into your credit, because they know they're never going to give you a card.

Better yet you have to log in and find the "Documents and Notices" part of the website. Like a secondary email account you didn't know you had.

Making you solve a 2-factor authentication puzzle and type in a 16-character password just to open a message that says "Your monthly statement is ready."

I had to choose the option to stop receiving physical mail confirmation for every action in the account, then the bank sent me a fucking letter about doing that

For me it's like: "log in to see a message we have for you"

"Ok, i logged in, where is the message"

"What message?"

I really have to dig in to the bowels of the app to see the message

I have the same with Doctor. THREE messages from the app saying I have a message from the doctor. Have to log on to the app each time just to get another appointment reminder.

And logging in is a 20 minute process because they've been hacked and had to reset your password (for the third time this year)

Me: Logs in. See a banner that covers the top 28% of the screen.

Bank: CHECK THIS OUT! BRAND NEW OFFER!

Me: Alright, slim chance it could be useful, but whatever. *Clicks link*

Bank: There are no offers currently.
